The Open Minds Forum strives to reach out and collaborate with other forums and websites dealing with the wide ranging fields of ufology and phenomenology.
In this spirit The Open Minds Forum is pleased to announce that we have agreed to a working cooperative relationship with Open Minds Production (which can be found at www.openminds.tv).
The Open Minds Forum and Open Minds Production are two completely separate and independently owned organizations. However, our views concerning the future of discussion, education and research are very similar.
While Open Minds Forum is rapidly becoming the preeminent location on the web to discuss ufology and disclosure related subject matter, Open Minds Production Inc. is a research-based organization with a mission to investigate and report evidence of extra-terrestrial, UFO, and other phenomena to a global audience. To do this, they are developing a television show, a magazine, and a website. Live streaming services will soon be provided to aid conference organizers in reaching a larger, world-wide audience.
OpenMinds.tv will be the hub for news relating to the alien/UFO phenomena. The site will contain exclusive photo and video content, merchandise, and will allow you to subscribe to the Open Minds magazine. When the United States Air Force published its first report on the Roswell incident in July 1994, reactions ranged from general acceptance among the mainstream media, to outrage and disbelief from the UFO community. The USAF investigation had been initiated by an enquiry from New Mexico State Representative Steven H Schiff to the General Accounting Office (GAO) (1). The final document, entitled; The Roswell Report: Fact Versus Fiction in the New Mexico Desert, (2) was co-authored by Col. Richard L. Weaver, USAF and 1st LT. James McAndrew, USAFR. The complete report is now widely available online and has been the subject of intense debate for many years. Charges of “whitewash” or “cover-up” are commonplace, and for many the Mogul hypothesis does not offer a satisfactory explanation for much of the available witness testimony. Col. Weaver, now retired, has kindly agreed to answer a few questions and address some of the controversy surrounding the release and conclusions of the report. His biography follows: Rich Weaver is currently the president of a private security training company. Previously, he was a Colonel in the United States Air Force, from which he retired after a 28-year career as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). During his Air Force career, he served as the commander of four separate investigative field units, including the Region Commander of the largest and most diverse operational commands in AFOSI. His other noteworthy military assignments include: Director, Security Policy and Special Program Oversight, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force; Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Special Investigations; Director, AFOSI Forensic Science Program; and AFOSI Regional Forensic Consultant-Europe; among other Special Agent positions worldwide.
He has an executive level background in all aspects of Air Force security policy and Special Access Programs. He was a recognized expert in providing counterintelligence support to military force protection efforts. He was the leader and commander of AFOSI force protection assets assigned to support the investigation of the Khobar Towers bombing. As a mid-level officer, he authored the definitive Air Force study on countersabotage operations. He helped develop, implement, and operationally test a yearlong program of counterintelligence force protection support operations used in Western Europe. He also served as the commander of a protective services unit protecting 4-star commanders and distinguished visitors in Europe. He was the chief advisor to the Air Force Inspector General on investigative, counterintelligence, and security matters.
Currently he oversees the development and execution of training programs for countersurveillance, force protection, surveillance detection, firearms, tactical driver, and protective service operations for various U.S. federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, international corporations, and approved foreign country clients, worldwide.
He is an inductee in the AFOSI Hall of Fame; holds Bachelor of Arts and Master Of Forensic Sciences degrees; and is a Fellow in an internationally recognized forensic sciences organization

This weekend one of Open Minds Forum's six Co-Owners, 'Doc' was at the 2008 UFO Crash Retrieval Conference in Las Vegas. He got a chance to to talk to Kevin Randle and Don Schmidt, world famous Roswell researchers, about Roswell, their first rip to the debris field and the popular film, "Roswell". ------- I caught up with Kevin Randle and Don Schmidt, not often seen together these days, and I asked them if I could have a picture for Open Minds Forum. They both gave me a long, hard look and said, "No." Then Kevin Randle said, "Maybe for five dollars." I replied, "I have that much," patting my wallet. "Take off the lens cap," Randle said. I told them that I'd been inspired by their books, mentioning Randle's UFO Crash book and Schmidt's latest on Roswell. They seemed pleased to hear that. I also mentioned how much we at OM had enjoyed interviewing Earl Fulford. Don Schmidt interjected that they "had no idea we would lose him so soon." . . . . . |

On the 7th March 1994 UFO researcher Don Berliner received an unexpected package in the post which contained a roll of undeveloped 35mm negatives, when the images were finally developed and published they would create discussion and debate which continues to this day. The photos, now available on the internet 1, depict what appear to be pages from a classified US Government document from April 1954. The Special Operations Manual (SOM 1-01) is classified TOP SECRET/MAJIC EYES ONLY and is subtitled; Extraterrestrial Entities and Technology, Recovery and Disposal. Much has been written with regards to the origins and provenance of this document; suffice to say that Dr Robert Wood and his son Ryan have invested more time in analyzing these documents than most; they present a strong case for authenticity and counter almost every criticism in the “authentication” section at their website 2. As evidenced in the image above, the document is identical in style and format to a known genuine manual from the period and conforms exactly to the USGPO (United States Government Printing Office) style manual from the period. 3 In a recent and surprising development, New York based researchers Clay and Shawn Pickering have agreed to release an alternate version of the SOM 1-01 which was given to them by their 'contact', a US Naval officer dubbed "Source A" 4 , in 2006. In May this year OMF staff member Razpad (Paul) visited our member Verum (Cody) to interview him at his home in Stephenville, Texas.
As most will know, the 1947 Roswell UFO crash happened on the Foster Ranch in New Mexico. 'Verum' is the great grandson of the Foster Ranch owners. For the first time, Cody shares publicly on the record, what his Uncle told him about the events then, during this interview.
Afterwards, he shares some interesting information about the USAF hidden runway outside Stephenville.
This is a casual 'hometown' interview and one we're sure you'll enjoy.

The names of Clay and Shawn Pickering, will be familiar to those who followed the United Nations Secret UFO Meeting topic. They maintain frequent contact with an Anonymous US Military Diplomat, known only as "Source A", who claims inside information regarding ongoing liaisons with Non Human Entities. The following interview with Clay Pickering was hosted by Open Minds Forum Co-Owner Chris Iversen (Ivo5000) on Sunday the 18th of May. Members of the press were recently invited to attend a News Conference in Denver on the 30th May 2008. The event was organized by Jeff Peckman in order to provide journalists with an exclusive viewing of a video tape which apparently depicts a "living breathing ET". 1 Denver resident, Jeff Peckman, had organized the news conference in an attempt to raise the profile of his "Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission" initiative. The video tape was captured by UFO experiencer Stan Romanek in Nebraska 2003. Stan recently described the events leading up to his capturing of this footage in an interview with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM: |
